A woman in the US has given birth to sextuplets – the odds of which are estimated at 4.7 billion to one. Thelma Chiaka gave birth to her six babies within 10 minutes at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas in Houston. The two sets of twin boys and one set of twin girls were born between 4:50 a.m. and 4:59 a.m.
They are in a stable condition in the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit.
While Chiaka has yet to name all of her children, the hospital revealed that she has named her two daughters Zina and Zuriel.
In a photo released by the hospital, Ms Chiaka was pictured with one of her relatives, Ebere Ofor, and the medical team – Dr Ziad Haidar and Dr Israel Simchowit.
