Mum Of Quadruplets, 51, Introduces Her Babies Born In Honour Of Her Mum

A 51-year-old introduced her quadruplets to the world, having had them in honour of her mum.

Tracey Britten used money from her inheritance after her mother died to do IVF, and became pregnant with four babies.

Her mother, according to Tracey, was desperate for one of her children to have twins, but she got even more than she bargained for when she got two pairs of twins after getting the treatment in Cyprus.

She told the This Morning presenters: “My niece, my brother’s daughter has twins but she [my mum] wanted one of her girls to have twins so what a better way to spend the money she left.”

Tracey’s daughter noticed she looked bigger than most women at six weeks, and Tracey was shocked by what she found at her early scan.

She said: “I took my daughter and daughter in law for something to eat one afternoon, I was about six weeks pregnant by then and I told them and we all got teary eyed and hugged.

“My daughter suggested I go for an early scan as I looked bigger. She [the doctor] saw two at first then she paused and said, ‘hold on a minute, have you had help in this pregnancy?’

And then she told us there were four.”

She delivered all four babies through C-section at 31 weeks, and now they are healthy three-month-old babies.

With the number of kids she has, Tracey said she will now have to relocate to find somewhere “with at least four bedrooms.”
